Many of us as engineers are hard working and focused on being successful. Thankfully, our 9-5 engineering jobs end after the 9-5 (most of the time) and we have the opportunity to live in one of the most amazing parts of the United States, the Rocky Mountains. For some of us, that means a short sprint up i70 (an hour or less drive without peak traffic) to the most beautiful places in the country. Or for me and my husband, our hardworking and overachieving career-focused lives have led us to buying a condo in Silverthorne, CO where we can stay the night and have access to the mountains while avoiding peak traffic.
So when I am not spending all my time with work and volunteering with SWE, I am enjoying the four seasons here in Colorado and all that it has to offer. Here are some of my favorite places that I recommend in the Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall!
