Event Goals:
- Identify and strategically invite young women that may not have exposure to STEM in their current school or home atmosphere
- Demonstrate how STEM careers use math and teamwork to solve problems where helping people is an integral part of STEM careers
- Demonstrate that innovation requires diversity in gender, ethnicity, religion, culture and many other factors
COVID-19 impacted gatherings in an unprecedented way. The health and safety of our GESTEM participants and volunteers continues to be our top priority.
GESTEM returned for an in-person event for 2022. As we move closer to our 203 event, we will ensure all participants are aware of any needed COVID protocols. Our COVID safety protocols will be largely directed by the school and university requirements, while also following local guidelines.
Please also look out for focused follow-up emails from our other committee chairs regarding next steps.
